About 4Otakus
Anime & manga, explained from Japan
4Otakus is an independent English-language site about anime and manga: seasonal guides, explainers, legal where-to-watch lists and a first-hand look at otaku culture in Japan.
It is run by Mohamed El Bssir, a Moroccan developer living in Japan and a long-time anime fan. The site started in 2016 and was relaunched in 2026 with a focus on useful, sourced guides.
We only link to legal streaming services and never host or link to pirated episodes.
