AI policy & corrections
We use AI tools. Here is exactly how, and where humans stay in charge.
What AI does
- Research assistance — finding and summarising official announcements and reputable reporting.
- Drafting — producing a first draft that follows our written editorial rules.
- Checks — flagging missing sources, weak structure or claims that need verification.
What humans do
- Write and maintain the editorial rules every draft must follow (voice, sourcing, what we never publish).
- Review, edit and approve posts before they go live, and decide what gets covered.
- Add first-hand experience and opinion — that part is never generated.
Sources
Every factual claim must be traceable to a source listed at the end of the post — official sites, broadcasters, publishers and reputable outlets. We do not present rumours as fact. Photos come only from free-licence libraries (Unsplash, Pexels, Wikimedia Commons) and are credited under each image; posts without a suitable photo use our own generated artwork.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Email contact@4otakus.com with the post URL and the problem. Substantive corrections update the post's “Last updated” date; lessons learned are added to the rules our drafting process follows, so the same mistake is not repeated.
Independence
4Otakus is independent. We are not paid to cover anything, and any future advertising will be clearly marked and kept separate from editorial content. See About.
