Black Clover Season 2 Release Schedule: Episodes, Time & Dub

Black Clover Season 2 releases a new episode every Saturday: it airs at 11:00 p.m. on TV Tokyo in Japan and lands on Crunchyroll one hour later. Outside Japan, that's Saturday morning in the Americas and Saturday afternoon in Europe. Five episodes are out as of November 2, 2026, and episode 6 is due on November 7.

The season started on October 3, 2026, more than five years after the first anime ended in March 2021 at episode 170. Below are the times for your time zone, the expected dates for the coming weeks, the dub schedule and what is still unconfirmed.

Black Clover Season 2 at a glance

A quick bit of jargon: a simulcast is a stream that goes up shortly after the Japanese TV broadcast, with subtitles. A cour is a block of about three months (usually 11 to 13 weekly episodes). Black Clover Season 2 is a simulcast, and nobody official has said yet how many cours it runs.

What time does Black Clover Season 2 come out?

Crunchyroll posts each episode one hour after the Japanese broadcast, which means midnight JST (Saturday night into Sunday in Japan). US daylight saving time ended on November 1, 2026, so from episode 6 the US times are one hour earlier than they were in October:

These are worked out from the confirmed 11:00 p.m. JST broadcast and Crunchyroll's one-hour delay, as reported for the premiere. Japan has no daylight saving, so the JST time doesn't move. Late-night slots like this are normal for anime in Japan. In Europe, it's an easy Saturday afternoon watch.

Black Clover Season 2 episode release schedule

Episodes 1 to 5 have aired. The dates after that are our projection from the weekly Saturday pattern. They are not an official list, and TV Tokyo can skip a week for sports or year-end specials.

Episode titles are English translations of the Japanese titles, as listed on Wikipedia's episode list. Crunchyroll's own English titles can differ slightly; the premiere, for example, is listed as "The War Begins".

How many episodes? Nothing official yet. Final Weapon reports "24 to 26 episodes across two cours", but that's not confirmed by TV Tokyo, Studio Pierrot or Crunchyroll, and the outlet doesn't cite a source for it. If the season stops after one cour, the last episode would land around late December. We'll update this table when an episode count or a break is announced.

The English dub schedule

Crunchyroll started the English dub on Saturday, October 17, 2026, two weeks after the Japanese premiere, and new dubbed episodes stream weekly. The returning cast includes Dallas Reid as Asta, Micah Solusod as Yuno, Jill Harris as Noelle, Bryce Papenbrook as Liebe and Max Mittelman as Nacht. Jason Lord is the voice director.

Crunchyroll hasn't published a separate time for the dub. In practice, if you watch dubbed, expect to be about two episodes behind the sub.

Where does Season 2 pick up? (no spoilers past Season 1)

It starts exactly where the first anime ended, in the middle of the Spade Kingdom Raid arc. Asta and the Magic Knights head into the Spade Kingdom to rescue their captured squad captains from the Dark Triad. Anime News Network's preview reviewers describe it as picking up right from the Season 1 cliffhanger, so don't treat it as a jumping-on point.

If you need to catch up on the first 170 episodes, availability varies by country. In the US, JustWatch lists Black Clover on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu, each with a different number of seasons, so check what your service actually has before you start.

Tanemura and Kajiwara presented the season at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 4, 2026, and Crunchyroll screened it in US theaters on September 21 as part of its Anime Nights program, before the TV debut.

Our take (opinion): Starting in the middle of an arc is the right call for fans who waited five years, but it's rough for anyone new. If you've forgotten the details, rewatch the last few episodes of Season 1 (from around episode 158) before you start. The weekly Saturday slot also suits Black Clover: it's a show built on cliffhangers, and having a week between episodes keeps the fights feeling bigger.
