One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 premieres in January 2027 in Japan. Bandai Namco Filmworks announced the window with a trailer and new key visual on October 10, 2026, at New York Comic Con. The exact premiere day, the time slot, the episode count and international streaming for Part 2 are all still to be announced.

So right now you know the month and not much more. Below is what's confirmed, what's still TBA, and where Part 1 streams in each region so you can catch up before January.

Jargon check: a cour is a TV block of about three months, usually 11 to 13 weekly episodes. Season 3 is split into two cours with a year-long gap between them. The Japanese official site calls Part 2 "第3期第2クール", literally "Season 3, second cour". Same thing.

Is there an exact release date yet?

No. Every official source so far (the anime's Japanese site, VIZ Media, Crunchyroll News and Anime News Network's report on the announcement) says only "January 2027". The official site's broadcast page reads "2027年1月から放送決定" ("broadcast confirmed from January 2027"), with no day attached.

I haven't found a reliable outlet reporting a specific day either, so if you see one on social media, treat it as a guess until the official site posts it. I'll update this post when it does.

For reference, Part 1 aired Sundays at 11:45 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, starting with a recap special on October 5, 2025. A Sunday late-night slot again would be a reasonable guess, but it's only a guess.

Where to watch One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2

Part 2's international streaming hasn't been announced. The safest bet is that it lands wherever Part 1 lives in your region, but none of the services below has confirmed Part 2 yet. Here's where Part 1 streams, according to the official site and Anime News Network:

Region Part 1 streaming Part 2
United States Hulu Not announced
Canada Disney+ Not announced
Latin America Netflix, Crunchyroll Not announced
Australia and New Zealand Netflix, Crunchyroll Not announced
Europe, Middle East, Africa Crunchyroll Not announced
Japan TV Tokyo and affiliates, plus many services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, U-NEXT, dAnime Store, ABEMA and others) TV: January 2027

A couple of practical notes:

  • US viewers: Part 1 was not on Crunchyroll in the US. It went to Hulu, starting October 12, 2025, at 11:15 a.m. EDT. Don't go looking for it on Crunchyroll.
  • North Africa: I grew up in Morocco, and the official site lists Crunchyroll for Africa, Europe and the Middle East. If you're watching from the Maghreb, that's where Part 1 is.
  • Asia: the official site lists Netflix, Crunchyroll, Bilibili, iQIYI and others, depending on the country.

Catalogues change by country, so search the service in your region before you pay for anything.

Catching up before January

Part 1 was 12 episodes, episodes 25 to 36 of the series overall, plus a recap special ("Get It All in One Punch!") that aired on October 5, 2025.

If you're in Japan like me, it's easier than that: TV Tokyo is re-airing Season 3 from October 12, 2026, on Mondays at 25:30. Japanese TV listings count late-night shows past midnight, so "Monday 25:30" means Tuesday at 1:30 a.m. If it runs weekly without breaks, 12 episodes take it to late December, just before Part 2's January start. The official site also lists Season 3 episode 1 as free on Japan's pay-per-episode services.

Who's making Part 2

Same team as Part 1, per the announcement coverage:

  • Studio: J.C. Staff (also Season 2; Madhouse made Season 1)
  • Director: Shinpei Nagai
  • Series scripts: Tomohiro Suzuki
  • Character design: Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryōsuke Shirakawa
  • Music: Makoto Miyazaki
  • Opening: JAM Project, "Never Done - SUPREME POWER VS ULTIMATE FEAR -"

Makoto Furukawa voices Saitama and Kaito Ishikawa voices Genos. A full Part 2 cast list hasn't been published yet.

About Part 1's reception (and why I'm still watching)

Part 1 was not loved. Critics and fans complained about a dialogue-heavy premiere and long, static panning shots, and episode 6 became a meme for its low user ratings. Polygon reported that director Shinpei Nagai deactivated his social media accounts after harassment, and that part isn't OK whatever you think of the animation.

Our take (opinion): the year-long gap is the most hopeful sign here. It gives J.C. Staff time that Part 1 apparently didn't have. The trailer alone won't tell you whether the finished episodes look better, so I'm keeping expectations sensible until the first episode airs.

What happens in Part 2? (light spoiler warning)

Light spoiler for Part 2's setup, nothing past the Part 1 finale: according to the trailer coverage, Part 2 continues the Hero Association's assault on the Monster Association. If you've read the manga you know why fans have been waiting years for this stretch; I won't say more here.
